Student Success Statement #83

Student Success Statement
“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than successful men with talent. Genius will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”
-Calvin Coolidge, 30th president of the US

Reflection:
I think that this statement is trying to say that people need to try and be the best that they can because sometimes other people won’t be there for them because of the fact that they have to do the things that they want by themselves. If people don’t really try and realize that they have to start and do things on their own for their own benefit, they will never get that they have to sometimes work alone with what they believe. Persistence is very important because that helps people work by themselves with what they believe.
